What is Surgical Sync?
Surgical Sync is an AI-powered scheduling platform that allows patients to pre-schedule their cataract surgery in real-time, complete paperwork in advance, and access important information about their procedure—all from their phone, tablet, or computer.
How does Surgical Sync work?
If you’re scheduled for a cataract evaluation, you’ll receive a text reminder 48 hours before your appointment with a link to:
- View real-time available surgery dates
- Pre-schedule or hold a surgery date
- Complete paperwork before your visit
- Explore intraocular lens (IOL) options
- Learn about insurance coverage and financing
Once you come in for your evaluation, your doctor will confirm your selected surgery date and finalize the details with you.
Can I schedule my cataract surgery online?
Yes! Through Surgical Sync, you can pre-schedule or hold a surgery date before your evaluation. Your surgeon will then confirm your choice at your visit.
When will I receive my scheduling link?
You will receive a text message 48 hours before your cataract evaluation appointment with a secure link to access the scheduling platform.
What if I don’t pre-schedule my surgery?
No problem! You can still discuss your options in person at your evaluation. Your surgeon and staff will guide you through scheduling at that time.
What happens if I need to reschedule my surgery?
If you need to make changes to your scheduled surgery date, simply contact our office, and we’ll help you find a new available time.
Can I choose a different surgeon for my surgery?
Your evaluating doctor must also be your surgeon for continuity of care. If you’d like to schedule with a different surgeon, you will need to complete a new cataract evaluation with that doctor before proceeding.
How do I know which intraocular lens (IOL) is right for me?
Through Surgical Sync, you’ll have access to an AI-powered lens education tool that provides information on different lens options based on your lifestyle, vision needs, and daily activities. Your doctor will discuss the best choice for you during your evaluation.
Will my insurance cover the surgery?
Most cataract surgeries are covered by insurance, but premium lens upgrades may have additional costs. Through Surgical Sync, you can explore pricing, insurance coverage, and financing options before your visit.
Is financing available for premium lenses?
Yes! The platform allows you to review financing options and apply for approval before your visit, so you can make an informed decision about your lens choice.
I didn’t receive my text link. What should I do?
If you haven’t received your scheduling link 48 hours before your evaluation, check your spam/junk folder or contact our office for assistance.
Can I use Surgical Sync on my phone?
Yes! Surgical Sync works on any smartphone, tablet, or computer for easy access to scheduling and information.
Is my personal information secure?
